In workshops and courses, young adults and young people develop artistic techniques and manual skills with artists, such as sewing, printing, bookbinding, but also experimental work with artistic strategies and performance. The items/artwork/objects produced (backpacks, bags, tableware, artistic editions, books, a fashion collection made from found and recycled clothes, hats, jewellery, paintings, small sculptures, souvenirs, purses, etc.) are put to various uses, such as bartering and loan available.
The aim is to invent alternative ways and means of establishing new contacts and developing artistic strategies for everyday life. Perhaps there will be new occasions to engage in dialogue with others?
The personal perspectives of all participants – everyday life in urban areas and on the streets as well as possibilities to transform them into living rooms, dining rooms or bedrooms – form the starting point for developing and implementing your own ideas. Following an open introductory offer, 2 courses are offered weekly. Weekend workshops deepen technical techniques, but also engage with performative strategies. Presentations convey the results to the public in cooperation with the Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art.
