Alexia Manzano
Alexia Manzano lebt und arbeitet in Berlin und gelegentlich in Argentinien und Barcelona, Spanien. Sie studierte Modedesign an der Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), AR und Visuelle Kommunikation an der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, EINA, Centre Universitari de Disseny i Art de Barcelona, ES und an der weißensee kunsthochschule berlin. Manzano arbeitet als Fotografin und entwickelt Konzepte für Workshops mit Kindern und Jugendlichen. Außerdem ist sie Mitbegründerin von The Hub e. V., zur Entwicklung und Erforschung künstlerischer Verfahren in Lehre, (Ver-)Mittlung und Kultureller Bildung.
Sie arbeitet u.a. mit Künstler*innen von „The Hub“ und den Kunstvermittlern von a7-ausseneinsatz im Programm When Education Turns to Art des Labs for Art Education, KW Berlin. Sie war ein aktives Mitglied des bermudagarten an der Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin, einem Ort, an dem sich Studentierende, Nachbarn und Neuberliner*innen (vor allem aus Syrien) trafen, um Zeit miteinander zu verbringen, verschiedene Ausdrucks- und Kommunikationsformen zu erkunden und Wissen auszutauschen.

As a member of The Hub Alexia co-created and/or co-coordinated /Berlin Biennale: von mir aus, Goldmarie, When Education turns to Art, Spaces of Reflection.
Alexia Manzano is a visual artist living and working in Berlin and occasionally in Argentina and Barcelona, Spain. She has studied fashion design in Buenos Aires and visual communication at the Bauhaus- University Weimar, EINA in Barcelona and Kunsthochschule Weißensee Berlin. Alexia mainly works with photography and video, but also with graphics or any other technic suiting the running project. She creates the concept and participates as an artist in workshops for school children and teenagers in Berlin. She works with the artist Mona Jas and the art mediators a7-ausseneinsatz in the programm When Education Turns to Art at Lab for Art Education, KW Berlin. She was an active member of the bermudagarten at the Weißenssee Kunsthochschule Berlin, a space where students, neighbors and new Berliners (mainly from Syria) meet to spend time together, explore different ways of expression and communication and exchange knowledge. Alexia has given indoor workshops in winter and outdoors in summer.
